Jury Award for "The Brain Modulator" at Super 8/16mm film festival

After winning first prizes at the NeuroVision Film Contest during the Bernstein Conference 2011, Florian Rau's film now received the jury award at the 13th "Dresdner Schmalfilmtage".

The festival for experimental film art, home cinema, trash and classical independent film experienced its 13th edition on January 26-28, 2012. Focusing on productions with Super8/16 mm-films, the Schmalfilmtage has been the first place in Germany of the international 8/16 mm-scene.

The traditional core of the festival is its international competition. Films of all genres could be submitted. The only constraint: They must have been shot on small format film including all subformats and shouldn’t be longer than 8 minutes.

Florian Rau's "The Brain Modulator" convinced the jury and won against the strong competition of 15 other productions from eight nations. Last December, the film had received more accolades when it made first place at the Freiburg Video Slam.
