Abstract: Future computer programs will contain a growing part of 'intelligent' software modules that are not conventionally programmed, but that autonomously learn either from data provided by the user or from experience that the program autonomously collects during its use. Along this research statement we are interested in building intelligent software architectures, that can perceive their environment, build an internal representation and make appropriate decisions to autonomously reach a predefined goal. In my talk I will provide examples of how neural network based learning methods can be effectively applied to realize learnig in all main parts of such an architecture: perception, representation and decision making. | |
