BCF-Retreat 2011

This year's BCF retreat will be held at the familiar Schauinsland University Hut. The goal for this year's seminar will be to foster a positive and productive work environment while creating an atmosphere of collegiality among the many new and old faces at the BCF. We will present, to a small forum of colleagues, both the subject of our research and the current challenges we face. Toward that end, the following format has been established:

• We will be assigned to 4 teams.
• Each team member will present to his/her team for around 20 minutes his/her current research hypothesis, his/her methods for testing those hypothesis and challenges, technical or scientific, that he/she could use advice on solving.
• This presentation will be followed by a 20 minute round-table discussion and notes will be taken by the team secretary.
• The team notes will be compiled and a digital booklet sent after the conference.
• Of course, all these tasks will be interspersed with games and activities to promote "integration".

What to Bring:

1. A <20 minute informal presentation of your work specifically describing current challenges.
2. Warm house slippers (as the Schauinsland administration prohibit entry with shoes)
3. One spare change of clothes (in case you get wet)
4. Anything you think might be fun to have along
